Training Skills

Just because you are good at your job doesn’t make you an ideal candidate to be a trainer.  Whilst subject matter expertise is important, so is the ability to design, develop and deliver training that helps people learn. Understanding how people learn is the first step since this will provide you with the basic structure for helping people develop the skills that will make them better at their job.

Becoming a great trainer isn’t magic, it’s science. There are key skills to be developed ranging from the theoretical background of the Training Cycle through to its practical application as an effective training designer and facilitator.
